You’ve probably had a power outage at home or work, it usually comes back on pretty quickly, but would you know who to call to report it? Call 105 – it’s free of charge, and they’ll connect you to your local provider.
Power outages can be scary, especially for younger people and those who depend on power for medical devices, so make sure children know what to do in the night should you suffer a power outage. If you or a relative consider yourself to be vulnerable, speak to your utility provider (water, gas and electricity) about registering on their Priority Services Register. If eligible, they will do their best to prevent your supply goes off, and if it does, they’ll restore it as a matter of urgency. You can find more information here:
